A variety of Qigong styles
Qigong styles vary enormously from vigorous physical movement to quietly sitting, using only the breath and the mind to focus and cultivate chi.
The movements and mental focus of the tai chi form for example is itself a qigong exercise. In fact any physical movement when combined with the mental focus which crates a mind-body connection can be viewed in essence as qigong. This may not of course mean the you can train in qigong whilst tap-dancing, yet again who knows?
Greater understanding of what the west calls 'Mind-Body Medicine' may be the way forward in bringing qigong into a more up to date understanding of how we can put our mind in our body, thereby gaining all the benefits of this amazingly benificial exercise.
